Background: Pseudohypoparathyroidism represents a group of clinical and molecular heterogeneous disorders, characterized by functional hypoparathyroidism, caused by end-organ resistance to the action of PTH. Pseudohypoparathyroidism manifests as hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia and elevated plasma levels of PTH.
